The initial images of the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Woven' have emerged, creating a buzz among sneaker enthusiasts. Nike and Union LA have a history of successful collaborations, including silhouettes like the Air Jordan 2, Dunk Low, and Air Jordan 4. The Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Woven' is expected to be released in August 2023.
Los Angeles-based fashion label Union LA is once again teaming up with Nike. In 2018, they released two colorways of the Air Jordan 1 silhouette, both featuring a DIY aesthetic. Over the years, the brands have collaborated on various Nike silhouettes, and now it seems the Air Jordan 1 is making a comeback.
For this upcoming collaboration, Union LA appears to draw inspiration from the Air Footscape Woven, a silhouette from the 2000s. The Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Woven' will be released in a 'Sail' colorway. Yellow stitching can be seen across the entire silhouette, with the UN/LA label placed on the heel in a matching yellow hue.
What sets the 'Woven' colorway apart is the intricate, openwork detail that runs throughout the design. Similar to the Air Footscape Woven, the upper seems to be held together by sturdy stitching. The iconic Swoosh is featured on the mid-panel, with matching grey accents on the collar and Wing logo.
The yellowed midsole completes the sneaker and adds a retro twist to the 'Woven' colorway. While the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Woven' does not yet have an official release date, it is anticipated to launch in August 2023. Keep an eye on our news page for the latest updates.
